Shake the midwinter blues & come celebrate!
This event is all about celebration and there's much to celebrate: creativity, generosity, friendship and community. Warm up inside Donovan Hall with great conversation and a wonderful evening of wine, beer, food and fellowship.
A diverse selection of wines, national and regional beers will be available for tasting: whet your appetite for the evening's many diversions. Tasty food samplings will keep you satisfied as you bid on local art and groove to live music.
NEW THIS YEAR:
Chocolate and Wine: Pairings featuring chocolates from Indulgence Chocolatiers, purveyors of handmade truffles, gourmet bars and other artisan chocolate delicacies. Working with the finest chocolate from around the world and other locally sourced ingredients. It's all about the quality.
Cheese and Wine: Pairings featuring selections from Larry's Brown Deer Market, Milwaukee's original specialty food shop ~ where the only limit on what's possible is the boundary of your imagination.
Rum Tasting: Rum is having a moment. While many of us know rum as a key ingredient in tropical drinks or as the foodstuff of pirates, there is much more to this complex spirit. Learn a little history and lore from Sean Donnelly and The Social Hour and learn why rum deserves a place of honor alongside Scotch and bourbon in your home bar.
Live Painting: 2 local artists, Dave Watkins and Melissa Dorn Richards will paint in real time. You can experience the painting process through the eyes of an artist and watch the masterpiece come to life.
Silent Auction: Featuring artworks by local artists created for this year’s event, A Wine Tasting for 12 featuring wines from La Encantada Winery, Framing Gift Certificate, and more great items to come.
Participating Artists: Audrey Dulmes, Betty Blexrud-Strigens, Dave Watkins, Jax Berndt, JoAnna Poehlmann, Kristin Kritz, Melissa Dorn Richards, and Sondy
